Our Cellar

The Silver Salmon Grille has recently finished an extensive remodeling of their lounge area. The ceiling was raised up 6 feet so that the vintage 1880's back bar looks awesome. New chandeliers, tile floor and all new furnishings were also added. In addition a new window was placed on the11th street corner, a beautiful arched door complete with brick porch planters were installed on the corner of Commercial Street. Part of the lounge is now used for wine tasting, retail wine sales and a gift shop.

The most exciting part of this project is the wine that is being tasted and sold at the Silver Salmon Grille. Local artist Bill Dodge painted an original work for the front label, which includes the Astoria Column, the Megler Bridge, the River Front Trolley, Fort Clatsop, the Flavel House and many other Astoria landmarks. The Winery's name is Silver Salmon Cellars and is being produced and bottled at Maryhill Winery in the Columbia Valley. A total of 12 wines will be offered for your tasting pleasure, purchased for gifts and will also be available in the Silver Salmon Grille's dining room.

A couple of other changes are that the Silver Salmon Grille is now 100% smoke free and the video poker machines are now hidden in their own private room, making the Silver Salmon Grille the only smoke free video lottery retailer on the North Coast.
